Course Description:
Basic Hazardous
Materials Transportation Training: This course ranges from 12 to 20 hours and
is intended as a detailed introduction to 49 CFR. This training would be an introduction for HazMat employees that
may eventually become a certified shipper and need to have a comprehensive
understanding of how to make decisions concerning material identification,
classification, and then how to properly package and communicate this
information accordingly. The length of
the course depends on the variety of materials the students may be responsible
for as well as class size.
Basic Hazardous Waste
Transportation Training:
This course is 4 hours in length and is designed to follow-on to the
previous course. This training provides
waste identification information as well as the unique requirements involved
with the transport of a hazardous waste versus a hazardous material.
