Terminal Objective:

Participants will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the regulatory drivers that give purpose and guidance to decontamination, dismantlement, deactivation and decommissioning oversight for nuclear/hazardous material facilities.

 

Course Description:

This one-day course provides an overview of the federal administrative documents that drive the DOE facility disposition process, with a brief discussion of the facility authorization basis, occurrence reporting, site health and safety plans, quality assurance program plans, the relationship between various environmental laws and regulations, and a brief overview of the management of hazardous waste.
