Note: We will also be conducting Rigging and Hoisting training to support operation of this equipment.
Our specialized courses of instruction include classroom and hands-on training with the individual pieces of equipment. Course lengths vary from several hours to two days depending on the type of equipment. Training culminates with a practical exercise designed to ensure students understand the safety requirements and operating limitations and parameters for the equipment.
When students complete the training they are ready to have their employers complete final certification on the various equipment. TFE can also assist employers in setting up certification programs.
The following are just a few examples of the types of training we can provide.

Training is available
on a wide range of forklift equipment up to and including 30-ton
forklifts and telescoping forklifts.

Classroom training
includes safety procedures and discussion of “Load Charts.” Students
also learn industry hand signals for crane operations, procedures for
lifting from uneven surfaces, and safe practices for working near
energized power lines.

Training is available
on a wide variety of aerial lift equipment. Students must don fall
arrest equipment and demonstrate proper use of harness and lanyard in
addition to operation of the aerial lift.

Rigging and hoisting training is also recommended to better understand rigging practices and requirements. In addition to hands-on instruction, the course covers pre-use inspection of slings and using a reference card to determine load weights, tension, and appropriate lifting device.
