Nuclear Safety/Criticality Safety/USQD Support TCPS currently has contracts for all of the Balance of Plant Nuclear Safety and Criticality Safety work for the Bechtel Jacobs Company (BJC) Accelerated Closure Project. TCPS also performs ~20% of the Nuclear and Criticality Safety work for the BJC K25/27 D&D project. We also provide Nuclear Safety and Criticality Safety support to the Idaho Cleanup Project. TCPS also provides Nuclear Safety and USQD support for the TRU Waste Shipping Facility in Oak Ridge, TN. A complete list of customers includes:
Conduct of Operations (Mentoring, Training, Assessment, Augmentation) TCPS has a number of personnel with Navy & commercial nuclear plant experience that support DOE and commercial sites with conduct of operations expertise. We have provided Con-Ops support for the following customers:
Safety Basis/DSA/SAR Implementation Not only are we adept at creating nuclear safety documentation, TCPS has then helped our customers implement the requirements. We work within all levels of an organization from floor-level personnel, first-line supervision, up to Senior Project and Corporate Management. We also provide causal analysis and accident/incident investigation support. A complete list of customers we have provided this type of support to include:
Readiness Assessment (ORR, RA, Management Assessment) TCPS has personnel trained and qualified to perform any level of assessment (including qualified team leaders). We have conducted readiness assessments for operating Cat2/3 nuclear facilities, radiological facilities, and other industrial facilities for the following customers:
Compliance Reviews and Assistance TCPS has performed compliance reviews and assists for environmental restoration, D&D projects, and operational facilities. Additionally we have represented our customers during oversight visits and inspections. We recently represented a customer during an NRC review of readiness for restart of a commercial nuclear facility. A complete list of customers includes:
Training Technical and Field Engineering Inc (the 51% parent of TCPS) is the preeminent provider of technical training services in the DOE complex. They provided training outsourcing support at RFETS from 1996 to site closure. They have provided training support to Bechtel Jacobs Company for their projects in Oak Ridge, Paducah, and Portsmouth. They have been on the team providing training support to Fluor Hanford since 2001. TFE trains over 20,000 students each year in a host of areas including Radworker, OSHA, nuclear safety, mobile equipment, and environmental laws and regulations. TFE has recently been awarded a contract to provide general employee and radiation worker training for Uranium Disposition Services LLC in Paducah, KY and Portsmouth, OH.
