#40-01 Senior Safety Analyst

 

Summary:

 

Under limited supervision provides technical and administrative support in the development and implementation of programs, plans, and procedural practices to ensure public and worker safety and compliance with regulations.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide technical and administrative expertise to the project on regulatory compliance issues, the authorization basis, regulatory inspections, commitment tracking and retrieval, document review and preparation, database maintenance, and other topics related to radiological, nuclear, and process safety.

Provide integrated support to development of project plans, procedures, and ongoing licensing and commitment tracking activities to ensure compliance with radiological, nuclear and process safety requirements.

 

bullet

Prepares a variety of administrative and compliance documents, analyses, presentations, and reports.

 

bullet

Participates in the production of project deliverables.

 

bullet

Attends project meetings; participates on committees and analysis teams; conducts independent reviews, and interfaces with all project departments on matters related to radiological, nuclear and process safety compliance.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

 

This position requires a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent experience.  Minimum twelve to fifteen years of related experience is required.  Understanding of the U.S. nuclear facility regulatory environment, database operation, and document preparations and review experience required.  Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills.
