POSITION TITLE:      P&CE LIMS 2 (Process Systems Database Engineer)

Process & Control Engineering    

DUTIES:

Provide software engineering services for the Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) Laboratory & Engineering Process Services group to perform software development and maintenance for SRNS laboratories databases.  Duties will include developing software applications for Applied Biosystems SQL*LIMS laboratory information management system, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, VB.NET/ASP.NET/C#, and working with other Laboratory & Engineering Process Services personnel.  Services will also entail developing documentation and defining and executing test plans.

Services will be provided using SRNS processes and procedures.  Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

BS Degree in Computer Science or an Engineering/Science discipline with software development emphasis or an Associate Degree in Engineering or Science discipline with equivalent experiences

Experience /Skills:

Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of two (2) years experience in:

1.    Oracle Databases and Application Server

2.    Support and development of solutions for Applied Biosystems SQL*LIMS.

Work Hours:

A 40 hour work week is scheduled utilizing a 4/10s (4 days at 10 hours per day) or 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B) work schedule.  Work week excludes SRNS holidays.  Each work day has a 30-minute unpaid lunch.  A variable work schedule including extended hours may be required to meet business needs.
