Maintenance Mechanic
Duties:
Perform the installation, inspection, calibration, maintenance and repair of complex equipment, which employs pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, chemical, optical, electronic or electrical principles of operation. Primary duties include the following:
· Work from approved standard and special procedures
· Review and understand lockout/tag out plans for hazardous energy control which will affect the facility
· Work with minimal supervision
· Perform incidental rigging activities
· Perform initial investigations of abnormal events on systems as necessary
· Follow all safety rules and RadCon policies and procedures
· Maintain all required qualification needed to perform work within the facility
Services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Work is performed from approved standard or special procedures, manuals, training, verbal turnover, and management direction. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS.
Education:
High School Diploma
Experience/Skills:
Minimum five years experience as a maintenance mechanic or maintenance supervisor
Candidate will be required to enter data into a computerized maintenance management system. Required to read and understand mechanical blue prints and sketches. Read and understand vendor’s repair manuals and technical maintenance instructions.
Work Hours:
A 40 hour or 48 hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; 5 days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), 4/12s (12 hours/day; four days per week) and 9/80s (9 hours /day; five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work excludes SRNS holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.
