POSITION TITLE: Logistics Coordinator

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

 

Provide logistics, materials management, property management administrative and support services to assure projects and programs have adequate support to complete missions. This includes customer interface (internal and external), inventory record management (generation, updating, validating and maintenance), data analysis, report generation and presentation/communication of results in a professional manner.

 

  

DUTIES:

 

Understands and addresses the needs and requirements of an assigned task. Acts with a sense of urgency and expends necessary effort to ensure job completion.  Must be able to deal with varying levels of communication both internal and external to property and material management.

 

Works effectively, persistent in task completion, masters technical aspects of position, analyzes own performance strengths/weaknesses.

 

Effectively delivers written and oral information in a clear, concise, timely, accurate and efficient manner.

 

Analyze conditions and processes for compliance and/or noncompliance to governing requirements and identify key issues.  Identifies cause and effect relationships, draws logical conclusions, and takes appropriate action.

 

Coordinate material support and provide procurement actions for emergent project, maintenance, or operational activities.

 

Other duties as assigned by management.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education:                   Bachelor’s degree, technical or business related or equivalent work experience (minimum 6 years) with at least 3 years experience in material logistics.

 

 

 

Experience/Skills:        Candidate must have strong problem solving, analysis and interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills.  Candidate must have the ability to walkdown and interface with personnel and systems in the field.  Candidate must demonstrate computer skills, specifically inventory and logistics software.

 

 

Proficiency in the use of MSWord and Excel is required

WORK HOURS:        Successful candidate will work a 9/80 Shift (with every other Friday off), from 7:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., unless otherwise directed by management  A 30 minute unpaid lunch period will be provided. Candidate may be expected to work overtime on occasions.  Work week excludes SRNS holidays.

 

AREA SECURITY    A security clearance is not initially required; however, candidate ACCESS:                        must be capable of obtaining an L or Q clearance if required to

perform assigned duties.
