DUTIES:
Review and assess electrical/mechanical documents to determine and recommend appropriate lockout/hold points to ensure required work activity can be performed safely. Reviews require the adherence to existing work control process/lockout procedures and application of understanding of facility processes, systems and equipment at the conceptual level.
Interact with facility and site work groups in the development and subsequent approval of lockouts to support work activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma and at least 5-10 years of practical experience in facility production operations would be required. Associate’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline and at least 4-7 years of directly related operations, operations support, maintenance or engineering experience.
Experience/Skills:
Ability to understand and interpret various electrical and mechanical documents, blueprints, drawings and schematics is required.
Understanding from a conceptual level of various facility processes, systems and equipment is required.
Knowledge of work control procedures and work practices and procedures for maintenance, operations, and project related areas is required.
Understanding of work hazards, safety practices, operating configuration and lockout/hold point identification is required.
General computer capability with Microsoft Word and Filemaker Pro applications.
Work Hours:
A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and 4 days on week BB). Work week excludes SRS holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch. A variable work schedule may be optimal for some assignments and/or may be required to meet evolving business demands.
Area Security Access:
A security clearance is not required for the assignment.
