POSITION TITLE: LOTUS NOTES DEVELOPER

SUMMARY:

The subcontractor shall establish cost-effective technical solutions to assist with maintenance of Lotus Notes workflow applications. The subcontractor shall define the scope and requirements to include scheduling, estimating, and quality control. Once the customer has approved these, the subcontractor shall plan, coordinate and direct analysis, design, and manage development of the information management solutions. The subcontractor shall identify, analyze, troubleshoot and resolve problems with the aim of eliminating recurrences problems. If necessary, they need to coordinate with other Information Services’ areas to implement the solution or resolve problems.  Additionally, the developer is responsible for compliance with departmental policies and processes and for performing all duties and activities in a safe and ethical manner. Requires 2 years relevant information systems developement experience.

A qualified candidate should be someone who can work independently

Have extensive LotusScript experience

Proficient making enhancements to an existing product

Handle their work queue and complete projects according to schedule constraints

To be qualified for this positions a candidate must have

Lotus Notes Development

LotusScript experience and Notes Client

Knowledge of SQL Language, Windows XP/2000, Domino Developer

Excellent communication skills

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. New Development

a. Gathering scope and requirements

b. Promotes effective use of technology.

2. Problem analysis and resolution

a. Fixes causes, not just solutions. Works to eliminate recurring problems and supportability.

b. Watches for trends that indicate potential problems and then eliminates the problems before they happen.

3. Communication

a. Keep peers and STR informed of trends, significant problems, unexpected delays and anything new in the

environment.

b. Keep customers informed of global problems, scheduled downtime or anything that affects the computing

environment.

c. Keep customers informed of progress on problems that cannot be resolved on first call.

4. Turnover to SRNS developers for support

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor Science degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the subcontractor shall occasionally be required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the subcontractor shall have a cubical exposed to normal noise level in the work environment.

Work Hours:

A 40 hour work week is scheduled using the 9/80s AA schedule (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes site holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.

Area Security Access:

A security clearance is not required.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

The subcontractor shall maintain and develop Lotus Notes applications as assigned for the SRNS to meet business needs. This will include documentation and schedules necessary to support the changes and applications. This documentation must be compliant with Quality Assurance policies.
