POSITION TITLE: INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE TRAINER

 

DUTIES:         Provide training support for Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Regulatory and General Training. Trainer will ensure the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of training is implemented in accordance with Regulatory and SRS requirements.  General responsibilities include but are not limited to the requirements of a technical trainer in addition to the responsibility of training and instructor oversight to include: management of training personnel requirements, management of training schedules, interfacing with site training and customers to ensure commitments are being met.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education: Bachelors Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, or a  related technical discipline is preferred but not required. 

 

Certification preferred: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).

 

Experience/Skills:

 

1.                   Six to eight years training experience in Industrial Hygiene, Industrial                    Safety, Regulatory, and General Training experience is preferred.

2.         Minimum of 8 years IH field experience (may run concurrent with training experience)

3.                  Experience in the design, development, and implementation of technical training

            programs.

4.                   Professional and interpersonal skills so as to establish and cultivate positive

            working relationships and interfaces with both internal and external customers

5.                   Demonstrated knowledge of DOE 5480.20, and SRS operating policies, rules, and

            regulations is preferable.

6.                   Knowledge of 29CFR Part 1910, 1926 and 10CFR 851, operations and     training regulations or requirements, and industrial codes, standards.

 

 

Work Hours:

A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Shift Rotational work hours (12 hr shifts) may be required. Work week excludes SRNS holidays.  Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.  

 

Area Security Access:

 

A security clearance is not initially required; however, candidate must be capable of obtaining an L or Q clearance if required to perform assigned duties.
