DUTIES:
Individuals responsible for oversight, design, development and maintenance and response of any or all elements of the SRS Emergency Preparedness program. Responsibilities may include procedure writing; program planning; small project design and scheduling; developing and delivering training; planning and conducting drills and exercises; designing, developing and maintaining emergency response facilities and equipment. Will perform walk-downs of field facilities and support drills and exercises in other facilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
BS or BA Degrees acceptable in semi-technical programs (i.e., communications, education, public administration, business, English, etc.) Plus, two or more years experience in emergency management or a related discipline or related fields.
High school diploma plus 10-12 years practical experience in emergency management or related field.
Experience/Skills:
Planning and communications skills required to develop work plans, produce reports,etc., and ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing. Experience with security and fire alarm systems desirable.
Work Hours:
A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules;
including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days
per week), a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on Week B), or
shift schedules. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each work day has a 30-
minute lunch.
Area Security Access:
Security Clearance Not Required. Must be able to obtain a DOE “Q” Clearance.
