POSITION TITLE:  Project Controls Senior Engineer

 

DUTIES:

 

Responsible for the technical enhancement, maintenance and integration as well as customer requested enhancement of the several applications supporting the division performance and financial accounting systems. Also responsible for managing the division Integrated Cost Tracking System (ICTS) and Project Management Control System (PMCS), which includes strategic planning and product direction as well as development, technical enhancement, maintenance and accounting functions. Selected manager will plan, direct, lead and manage these functions, ensuring that resources, including personnel, data, hardware, software and facilities are utilized in a cost effective manner that is consistent with site and DOE policies, procedures and applicable DOE orders.

 

Project Controls services will be provided using SRNS processes and procedures.  Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related degree or 10 years of equivalent knowledge and relevant experience

 

Experience/Skills:

Candidate must demonstrate minimum of ten (10) years experience in Information Technology or equivalent discipline.  Shall have demonstrated leadership ability and experience, preferably in a multi-discipline environment.  Must be able to provide direction to others as well as set priorities for self and others.  Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of  software life cycle principles and practices.  Shall demonstrate knowledge of  IT software trends and direction.  Must have experience with project management and project control techniques and discipline.  Shall demonstrate experience in implementing and supporting an electronic cost and performance tracking system and have computer experience (proficiency) in basic project control software applications, including Primavera (PM), Excel, and Microsoft Word.  Candidate must have experience in leading a team in implementation of information technologies supporting large numbers of end-users.  Shall have experience in enterprise systems management technologies for managing large, complex information technology environments.

 

Work Hours:

A 40 hour work week is scheduled.  SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B).  Work week excludes SRNS holidays.  Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.  

 

Area Security Access:

A security clearance is not initially required; however, candidate must be capable of obtaining an L or Q clearance if required to perform assigned duties.
