POSITION TITLE: EEO Specialist
|
DUTIES: |
|
|
This position has primary responsibility for ensuring company employment activities comply with anti-discrimination laws, and equal employment opportunities are afforded to all qualified applicants and employees through implementation and execution of SRNS employment policies, procedures, practices and applicable state and federal laws.
Major responsibilities of this position include:
· Develop, implement and monitor affirmative action programs to ensure compliance with state/federal laws, company policies, procedures and DOE contract requirements · Advise and counsel management, human capital management professionals on EEO laws, company policies and procedures and other employee relations issues · Conduct thorough and timely investigations in response to EEO charges filed through external agencies by current and/or former employees · Conduct statistical analyses on all employment activities · Prepare reports in accordance with Department of Labor (DOL) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) requirements · Conduct internal EEO investigations · Represent EEO in disciplinary/ADA/Medical Restrictions meetings
Additional scope of work as defined by DOE in the Functional Element Specific Lines of Inquiry during transition includes:
· Ensure that SRNS has in place a training matrix to train all managers and supervisors within six months and employees within 12 months · Maintaining the essential elements of a Model Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program which establishes an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) program that facilitates the early, effective and efficient informal resolution of disputes

Education/ Certifications: |
Bachelor of Science/Master of Science |
|
Experience/ Skills: |
15+ years of Human Capital experience in an industrial environment – experience in EEO at SRS desired |

Work Hours: |
A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week normally excludes SRNS holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch. |
