POSITION TITLE: Data Warehouse

 

SUMMARY:

 

Provide maintenance on existing project controls reports and create new project controls reports which will enhance the Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) financial warehouse system. The subcontractor will gather requirements from the project controls customer and modify existing, or produce new reports while adhering to all SRNS IT protocols and required production support policies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Subcontractor must be familiar with Hummingbird BI/Query and knowledgeable of financial information. Must have extensive knowledge of PL/SQL, SQL language, be familiar with ORACLE database and job creation and scheduling familiarity with UNIX. Subcontractor must also be knowledgeable of the TOAD tool or SQL Developer tool. Subcontractor must have good communication skills to interface with project controls customer on their level to define and understand reporting requirements, and have the ability to cost-effectively and timely develop the solution to extract all data requirements for assigned projects. They will interface with other IT personnel to identify source data or communicate data requirements needed from other source systems. To comply with IT protocols and knowledge of Word and Excel is necessary.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education: Bachelor Science degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Preference will be given to candidates with two or more years of current experience supporting data warehouse applications using Hummingbird BI-Query.) Experience/Skills: Candidate must demonstrate knowledge and abilities in the following:

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will have a space exposed to normal noise level in the work environment.

Work Hours:

A 40 hour work week excluding SRNS holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.

Area Security Access:

A security clearance is not required.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:             
Employee must develop information system solutions to address the below business needs:

Employee is required to develop and maintain applications to support facility work flow streamlining and consolidation activities that enable compliance with 2S and 8Q requirements. These processes are currently being implemented in some facilities and other operational areas have expressed a desire to implement the same practices.
