Chemist

Provide scientific technical support to assigned Area Completion Project teams. Technical support includes providing mobilization of sampling and analytical chemistry for SGCP soil and groundwater projects this includes providing chainof-custody forms and delivery orders to the analytical lab, load and screen data; work with samplers and labs to solve data loading issues, run verification programs and resolve problems to ensure that Project Teams have quality data, and perform data validation as required. Scientific duties will be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS.

BS Degree in Chemistry or applicable Environmental Sciences discipline. Experience/Skills:

Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of three (3) years analytical chemistry experience. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft computer software. Candidate must have prior SRS experience.

A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.

A security clearance is not initially required; however, candidate must be capable of obtaining an L clearance if required to perform assigned duties.
