3D-PDS Designer

Duties:

Provide 3D-PDS Structural Designer staff augmentation support to SRNS.  Primary responsibilities include engineering analysis, 3D Modeling using Plant Design System (PDS) software, design development, and generation of design output documents including but not limited to: Piping; Layouts; Electrical Commodity Details; HVAC Duct layout; and Vendor Document Reviews, Structural Detailing and Site Layout.

Design services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures.  Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS.

Education:

High School Degree is required.  Formal training beyond High School in Computer Aided Design or Drafting is preferred.

Experience/Skills:

Candidate must demonstrate eight (8) years experience as a Designer, including experience with designing layout of piping, electrical commodities and HVAC ducts.  Significant experience in PDS is required.  Knowledge of 3D modeling PDS is required.  Candidate must have the ability to walk down systems in the field.

Work Hours:

A 40 hour work week is scheduled.  SRNS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; 5 days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80s (9 hours /day; five days on week A and 4 days on week B).  Work excludes SRNS holidays.  Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.

Area Security Access:

A security clearance is not initially required; however, candidate must be capable of obtaining an L or Q clearance if required to perform assigned duties.
